Lorna Ritchie plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s public engagement and advocacy strategies. Previously, Lorna was the Practice Director for Climate and Sustainability at Global Counsel, advising businesses on climate policy and sustainability from May 2022 to March 2024. She also served as the UK Adaptation and Loss and Damage Negotiator for COP26, playing a key role in international climate negotiations.
Her earlier roles include Senior Policy Adviser at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), where she contributed to the development of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, focusing on global carbon trading frameworks.
