Murray Collins is the CEO and Co-Founder of Space Intelligence, a pioneering Nature Tech company scaling globally to support the fight against deforestation and climate change. Since its founding in 2017, Murray has led Space Intelligence in developing cutting-edge satellite data and analytics solutions that enable organizations to monitor and manage natural ecosystems with unprecedented precision and transparency.
With a PhD from the London School of Economics focusing on statistical techniques for assessing REDD+ project efficacy, Murray’s expertise in forest carbon quantification is well-established. He has extensive field experience across Latin America, West and Central Africa, and Southeast Asia, where he has contributed to critical biodiversity and carbon stock assessments.
In addition to his work at Space Intelligence, Murray has been a Science Director at Picture Zero, creating impactful content on climate change, and held a prestigious Chancellor’s Fellowship in Data Driven Innovation at the University of Edinburgh. His leadership and interdisciplinary research continue to drive innovation in environmental monitoring and conservation.
