Role: Peter Zaman is a partner at HFW with over 20 years of experience as a transactional lawyer specializing in commodities, derivatives, structured products, and climate finance. Based in Singapore, Peter has developed a unique practice that combines expertise in both commodities and climate finance, enabling him to provide holistic solutions for businesses navigating the energy transition. His in-depth knowledge spans across the EU ETS, Kyoto Protocol, voluntary carbon markets, and the evolving Article 6 markets under the Paris Agreement.

Since 2004, Peter has been actively involved in climate finance and environmental product markets, advising on the challenges and opportunities within carbon markets. He played a key role in the IIF Task Force on scaling voluntary carbon markets, initiated by Mark Carney in his role as UN Special Envoy for Climate Action.
